Diary and account book of Mrs. Inchbald [manuscript], 1776-1820.

The diary entries are brief, each day crowded into a very small space in a printed diary form (M.a.149 in The ladies' own memorandum-book, M.a.156-57 in an unidentified form, titles cut away). The first five volumes contain many entries of appearances on the stage. Each day's activities and movements are briefly stated. Expense accounts (brief and unsystematic) appear only in the first four volumes. The following years are covered: M.a.149, 1776; M.a.150, 1780; M.a.152, 1783; M.a.153, 1788; M.a.154, 1807; M.a.155, 1808; M.a.156, 1814; M.a.157,1820. 2 loose leaves in pocket of M.a.150.
